Excellent Talent

BBC News presenter and Afternoon Live anchor Simon McCoy will be presenting BBC1's This Week as Andrew Neil steps down for one night only.

Known for its satirical, light-hearted approach to political programming, This Week is due to close after 16 years of success.

Simon recently appeared on the show as part of the "Round-Up of the Week" where he famously shared his passion for the viewers favourite wine, Blue Nun, before going on-air.

Simon has "always been a huge fan of Andrew Neil" and tells us that "it’s been a pleasure to be a part of the show".

Since his appearance in March this year, Simon has been asked to step in and present the show which is due to be aired on Thursday 27th June.

"I certainly have big shoes to fill" Simon tells us how he feels about stepping in for This Week Presenter, Andrew Neil.

Is Simon sad that the show is coming to a close? "It's a real shame. It's one of the most entertaining shows on television." Simon describes This Week as "Edgy" and believes that "it's a show politicians do enjoy secretly".

Don't forget to tune into BBC1 TOMORROW NIGHT at 11:45PM where Ron Burgundy aka Simon McCoy returns to This Week but, this time, front and centre!
