As you would expect from one of the country's greatest stand-up comics, Mitch's natural style is chatty, fun, and down-to-earth. His comic timing is impeccable. He's also a brilliant impressionist, providing many of the comic voices for Radio 4's "The Now Show". Click on the Facts tab for more.

One of the finest stand-up comics of our age, and one of the best writer/performers of comic songs in the country. A favourite on Radio 4's "The Now Show", Mitch's listeners are often unaware of the fact that Mitch provides many of the comic voices on the show (his Scooby Doo is almost as good as his Dalek).
He has also completed three series of his own Radio 4 show, "Mitch Benn's Crimes Against Music", as well as "The Mitch Benn Music Show" for BBC Radio 7.
Mitch appears regularly on BBC1's "The One Show" with his "Complaints Choir", as well as contributing occasional songs to Channel 4's "Bremner Bird And Fortune", and featuring on stand-up programmes such as "Live at Jongleurs", "The Comedy Store", and "The World Stands Up".
In 1995 Mitch won the Best New Comic award at the Glastonbury Festival and has played there every year since. In 1998 he won the "Mercury Comedian of the Year" prize.
Mitch Benn & The Distractions' debut single, Everything Sounds Like Coldplay Now, was released in 2005. The video for the single attracted 8,000 hits in one hour.
And yes, he's also the voice of Elvis in Steve Wright's "Ask Elvis" feature on Radio 2. But shushh!
